Distance Assist DISTRONIC
Adapts to the natural flow of the road.
This adaptive cruise-control works at up to 210 km/h (depending on the package selected), regulating your speed and distance to the vehicle in front. It can also adapt your speed to the route and make it easier for you to follow in traffic queues or traffic jams. As a result, it makes life easier by assisting you in both flowing and slow-moving traffic.
On a long motorway journey, Distance Assist DISTRONIC lightens the load on the driver with lots of functions that enhance the safety, comfort and ease of your time behind the wheel. It helps ensure you arrive at your destination relaxed and refreshed.
For many people, congestion is an irritating fact of everyday driving life. Distance Assist DISTRONIC offers features that can provide support in some common occurences. This aids safety in heavy traffic and helps keep nerves intact.
Extends the speed limit warning to recognise traffic signs for no-entry zones and pedestrian crossings. The system can also warn you if you try to enter roads in the wrong direction. This is especially helpful in confusing driving situations.
Watching over the surroundings.
MB.DRIVE assistance functions in the new CLA rely on environment information derived mainly from a suite of cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors. Their data is handled by a water-cooled, high-performance computer with enough power reserves for future functions and regular over-the-air updates.
MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360 - for an all-round perspective.
This package extends MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST with the 360° camera's all-round view. It makes life even easier for you when you're out and about in the city or looking for a parking space in an unfamiliar area. The system can help you find a space and assist you when manoeuvring into and out of it. The different perspectives of the 360° camera on the central display allow you to keep an eye on the vehicle surroundings while manoeuvring.
