In 1967, a unique company was born from an overwhelming passion for motorsport and technology. A for Aufrecht, M for Melcher and G for Großaspach - the names behind these three letters started the rapid development from a two-man operation to a global brand under the Mercedes-Benz umbrella.

We traditionally build the 4- and 8-cylinder engines by hand according to the "One Man, One Engine" philosophy. A single technician assembles the engine and in the process is responsible for all the steps, from the installation of the crankshaft and assembly of the camshafts to the wiring and the filling with engine oil – visibly testified by the technician's signature on the AMG engine badge.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupé lives up to the design philosophy of AMG: sensual clarity, striking proportions, an athletic shape and the optimised AMG front design taken from the world of motorsport with enhanced width effect.
