If the engine speed is higher than the idle speed and you engage the transmission positionhork, the vehicle may accelerate sharply.

If you engage the transmission positionhorkwhen the vehicle is at a standstill, always depress the brake pedal firmly and do not accelerate at the same time.

DIRECT SELECT lever - Engaging neutral N
Depress the brake pedal and push the DIRECT SELECT lever up or down to the first point of resistance.


Subsequently releasing the brake pedal will allow you to move the vehicle freely, e.g. to push it or tow it away.

Proceed as follows if you want the automatic transmission to remain in neutrali, even if the vehicle is switched off or the driver's door is opened:

Depress the brake pedal and engage neutraliwhen the vehicle is at a standstill.
Release the brake pedal.
Switch off the vehicle.

The message readingRisk of vehicle rolling away N activated manually No automatic switch to Pwill appear on the driver's display.


If you then exit the vehicle leaving the key in the vehicle, the automatic transmission will remain in neutrali.


    The park positionjis automatically re-engaged as soon as one of the following conditions is met:
