As an accident victim, you can decide where your vehicle should be repaired. The repair costs incurred must be borne by the person who caused the accident.

If your contract contains a workshop loyalty clause but you prefer to have your vehicle repaired in a workshop you trust, it is possible to accept the contractually stipulated penalty fees. Under certain circumstances, it may be possible to subsequently adjust your insurance contract for an additional payment.

A special rule permits comprehensive and professional repair covering up to 130% of the vehicle value before the accident.

You are free to reject an appraiser recommended by the opposing insurance company. You have the right to independently select and commission an appraiser of your trust.
