A responsibility we like to take
As a Mercedes-Benz owner, we hope you feel reassured by our reputation for reliability and quality. In order to give you even greater peace of mind, every new Mercedes-Benz vehicle sold through the Mercedes-Benz network comes with a comprehensive two-year manufacturer warranty valid from the date of delivery, which can either be translated to the date of the first registration or initial operation. Your vehicle’s warranty can also be extended past the manufacturer warranty period, through your authorized service centre and third party providers. These extensions are not governed by Daimler AG and do not fall under the manufacturer’s responsibility.
Warranty is an obligation imposed by law upon the manufacturer of a product. This legal basis forms the foundation for the sales terms and conditions used by Daimler AG, and these contracts form the basis for any legal claims filed by buyers of Mercedes-Benz product. It means that Daimler or its official agent is liable for ensuring that any product sold complies with the conditions of the sales contract. Daimler or its official agent is liable for defects that existed at the time of sale, even if these do not become obvious until a later date that is within the period given for warranty. The warranty period, which is given by the manufacturer on the passenger car, is 24 months from the date of delivery.
